Aims and Scope
Proceedings from the scientific conference Methodology and Archaeometry is open access, peer-reviewed publication which publishes articles from the international scientific conference Methodology and Archaeometry organized by the Department of Archaeology of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb (https://metarh.ffzg.unizg.hr/).
Although the conference is organized since 2013, in 2018 we started a new publication with open access policy. Articles are published under the terms of a Creative Commons license which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium or format, provided the original work is properly cited. The publication aims to publish articles related to new theoretical and methodological approaches in data collecting and processing and to cover a wide spectrum of scientific methods, such as geology, chemistry, biology, physics, etc. which are a fundamental part of contemporary archaeological science. The interdisciplinary character of the conference produces scientific papers of very high interest and relevance in archaeological research and offers new insights into the latest approaches in archaeological research.
The publication will not consider multiple submissions and redundant publications.

Peer-review policy and procedure
In order to create a volume of high scientific quality, each of the conference papers is reviewed in the peer review process in accordance with academic standards (see Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement).
Once the articles have been assessed for suitability by the Editor in chief and the Editorial board, each article is subjected to peer-review by two independent, external experts in the field who are not part of the journal’s editorial board. If one of the reviews is negative, the manuscript is sent to a third review. Proceedings from the scientific conference Methodology and Archaeometry operates a single-blind peer-review system, where the reviewers are aware of the names and affiliations of the authors, but the reviewer reports provided to authors are anonymous. All reviews must be conducted according to the standard norms and expectations of an ethical review process (COPE Ethical guidelines for peer review). After reviewers evaluate the scientific quality of the paper, the authors will receive evaluation results and the reviewer’s comments in case the manuscript needs revision, as well as possible editorial comments within the given time frame. The authors should revise their manuscript and produce its final version in accordance with the reviewer and editorial recommendations. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles.

The Proceedings are a diamond open access publication: there are no author publication charges or processing fees.

License: all papers are published under CC BY-NC-ND license.
